Job Description: Role: Emissions Engineer
Location: Bedfordshire
Contract: Ongoing - 12 Mths +
Rate: £10 - £15 per hour for a 40 Hour Week
Overtime is at enhanced rate.
With a good understanding of complex engines, testing techniques and associated equipment, you will be comfortable using test cell equipment for emissions measurement, combustion, calibration tools and PC's, especially Word & Excel.
The work will focus on preparing a wide variety of vehicles from small cars to heavy duty trucks and buses for chassis dynamometer and SHED testing, carrying out fitting work or fuel and/or exhaust systems, changing catalysts, fitting emission sample pipes and changing fuels.
Other duties will include connecting & setting up analytical equipment and computer software for testing.
You will need good fault finding experience on modern engines and automotive systems, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and have an engineering or automotive qualification, City & Guilds or higher.
