Job Description: Automotive, Motor Trade, Roadside Technician, Recovery Driver Required in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
£18,800 basic, OTE £20 - £40k
51 hour week, 9 hour shifts (6 on 2 off) including 1 night shift and 1 late shift
Motor Trade Jobs / Automotive Vacancies:
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To carry out roadside repairs / recovery in a speedy, professional fashion ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times.
MAIN TASKS OF JOB:
•Carry out all repairs / recovery / transportation of PLG vehicles within their capabilities as requested by the Company Control or their direct Manager / Supervisor.
•To assist others as requested with repairs / recovery / transportation PLG vehicles outside their capabilities.
•To provide shift cover as required by your roster.
•To ensure all work related paperwork is completed according to Company Quality Procedures and Contract of Employment.
•To use, where provided, in the correct manner the Cab message / communication system.
•Maintain standards of maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles allocated or used.
•To carry out (as soon as is practical) the daily walk-around safety check on any Company vehicle used during any shift period, according to current legislation.
•To ensure Company stock on vehicles or from Stores are replaced, when used, and defective old parts are dealt with in accordance with Company Procedures, Health & Safety and Waste Disposal Regulations.
•To ensure vehicle equipment is maintained and controlled to comply with contracts, Company policies and current legislation.
•To ensure PPE, where appropriate is worn at all times.
•To work at all times in a way that will not prejudice the safety of yourself and others and comply with current H & S legislation.
•To report any dangerous occurrence affecting your Job role.
•Maintain standards of Depot cleanliness.
•Maintain Company Customer Care policies.
•Assist as requested with recovery of HGV vehicles under supervision of trained staff.
•Attend training courses to fulfil Company Policies / Contracts.
•Ensure all work is carried out according to the companies Quality policy and PAS 43 requirements
•Ensure you comply at all times with current environmental legislation
Class 'C' Licence is Essential.
Motor Trade Experience is Essential.
