Job Description: A newly established charity in Enfield is looking for an enthusiastic, well organised and flexible person to develop a vibrant suite of services for carers at our new Carers Centre in Enfield Town and to ensure the smooth running of the Centre. You would be the first point of contact for all carers to the Centre and will therefore need to be an excellent communicator and have experience of and empathy with carers - being someone who provides unpaid care to a friend or family member. This can be through direct or indirect experience. We are a very small team and need someone who is able and willing to carry out the wide range of tasks needed to ensure the Centre runs smoothly and delivers a high quality service. These will range from straightforward administrative tasks, meeting and greeting callers, taking minutes of meetings, drafting information bulletins, providing information and advice to callers and negotiating with local agencies involved with supporting carers carers in Enfield. This post is offered on a temporary basis. We anticipate recruiting to a permanent position early in 2011. Applicants can expect to be interviewed by staff and/ or trustees for the Charity and to be asked to complete a written test to demonstrate written skills
