Job Position: Engine Development Engineer
Reporting To: T & D Operations Manager
Job Status: Contract
Essential Experience:
Candidates must have experience of the development of either Gasoline or Diesel
Engines.
Experience may relate to the test and development of various engine
systems; e.g. fuel, EGR, after-treatment, ventilation, mechanical systems, turbo chargers, boost systems etc.
You should also have good understanding of test equipment and a structured approach to problem solving.
Engine performance and emissions awareness.
Desirable Experience:
Understanding of test instrumentation.
Team-working and communications skills.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with design engineers and others to ensure systems meet product requirements, the jobholder will:
Design, plan and organise test programmes.
Diesel emissions analysis.
Provide input and feedback to design team.
Provide technical leadership to technicians/engineers as appropriate.
Matching turbo-chargers to diesel engines in accordance with performance targets
Creating tests using DOE and other techniques
Supervising Test Engineers
