Job Description: Our Henley based client requires a Product manager to work In partnership with their investment teams, to provide product/franchise leadership in the support and communication of markets and assigned products.

Provision of product/franchise leadership – appropriately position investment strategy in both constructive and challenging environments.
Provide proactive client servicing (external and internal audience) aligned with industry/market trends/environment.
Enter into full partnership and collaboration with investment teams (in particular Product Director) to support them in any sales/client relationship activities.
Act as a reliable conduit between investment and distribution teams (and to a large extent other teams across IVZ – globally), i.e. partner with: Investment; Sales; Investment Marketing Communication; Product Development; PR; Strategic Marketing; other IVZ Marketing teams by:
Acting as primary contact for product-specific requests, providing consistent, efficient global product support via a single point of contact:
Streamlining and facilitating response to Fund Manager/Product Director-directed, product-specific needs and requests from the client and other IVZ Distribution teams.
Provide thought leadership through creative positioning and investment perspectives, as follows:
Develop and update product-specific materials, i.e. presentations, etc to clearly articulate assigned product’s investment strategy, process and positioning.
Author product performance updates (excluding regulatory material), white papers, thought pieces and other vehicles.
Support all Investment Intelligence activities.
Produce advertising content in support of marketing strategy
Profile the clients Chief Investment Officer and IVZ Group Economist
Work as part of team led by Strategic Marketing to support product-specific marketing plans and to package information for external communication.
Be an active member of our clients Editorial Committee that drives topical investment messaging and product positioning.
Contribute strongly to any global investment marketing initiatives, as deemed appropriate.
Skills required for role
Significant experience in the financial services industry, preferably in an investment/marketing communication or sales position
A good understanding of financial markets and the fund-management industry is essential
Understanding of IT Investment packages such as Micropal/Lipper, Datastream and Bloomberg, etc
Degree educated or a similar equivalent qualification
IMC or a similar securities-industry qualification
Initiative (ability to identify problems, opportunities, and obstacles and take appropriate action or seek manager’s input as required)
Results orientation (ability to drive and set and meet targets and to exceed standards and expectations)
Analytical thinking (ability to understand and make judgements about a situation, issue, problems, etc)
Creativity (ability to create compelling new sales ideas and stories, and to find better ways of working)
Strong written and oral communication skills (must excel in the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and in speech
Building partnerships (excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships across organisation)
