Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client, who are a well known, national organisation, based in the Bedfordshire area. The role will be focused upon a facilities maintenance contract within the Defence sector. The main duties will include: - Providing commercial support to the service delivery teams throughout the contract. - Providing on-site support & guidance, with particular emphasis on pricing of new works introduced into the contract. - Promoting a positive working relationship throughout the contract. - Completing the final accounts on a monthly basis. - Taking ownership of problems & working effectively to resolve. The ideal candidate: - Minimum of HND or equivalent within a building related subject. - Working towards chartered membership within an appropriate association. - Knowledge & experience in the building sector, preferably with maintenance experience. - Awareness of JCT & other forms of contracting. - Basic understanding of the principles of partnering contracts. - Full driving licence The hours of work will be 8am to 5pm (Monday to Friday) 40 hours per week.
