Job Description: Our client is partnered with Europe's largest Acquiring Bank, providing merchant services to the SME market - the ability to take credit and debit card payments. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for targeting new business across all types of industry sectors but mainly retail. You will be a highly, self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record for selling in the business-to-business arena. The company has a skilled inside sales team that provides qualified appointments. Each BDM will be provided with up to six appointments a day and the current closing ratio is better than 1 in 3. The UK market place has been traditionally controlled by high street banks therefore the costs for businesses have remained high. The company prides itself on being able to: 1. SAVE EVERY BUSINESS MONEY 2. Update their technology for fastest more efficient processing 3. Provide better fraud prevention 4. Align the business with Visa, Mastercard's new regulations Key Responsibilities � Generate sales from qualified appointments � Generate new leads in your allocated area � Update CRM system daily � Manage your pipeline effectively Skills required � Proven experience of selling to the SME market � Excellent negotiation and communication skills � Tenacity, drive and resilience � A targets-driven approach to work � Self-motivated and organised Successful candidates will be given thorough training and achieve bank accreditation in Merchant Processing. All candidates will be assigned their own sales support agent who will help organise diaries, manage prospects and be a constant aid in day to day business activities
