Job Description: One of Europe's foremost providers of integrated audio visual solutions with over 30 years unrivalled expertise in this fast paced industry. Due to the continued success and growth of the business are seeking to recruit a self motivated Video Communications Specialist. A forward thinker who can adapt quickly to new technology and concepts offering proactive ideas and solutions. Requirements for the role: � Excellent understanding of Video Conferencing Infrastructure and endpoints � At least 2 years proven experience of working on and implementing Tandberg products and services (Codec's, VCS, TMS, Movi and Codian Bridging) with detailed examples of such activity, along with a proven working knowledge of IP networks � Good communication skills - Demonstrate the right levels of maturity and experience to be credible with the senior RBS personnel and ultimately become their trusted advisor. � Product evaluation and review - Looking at all available technologies and making recommendations to the customer. � Video Conferencing system design based around Tandberg infrastructure but also containing some Polycom endpoints. � They must have a full understanding of the Tandberg TAC and examples of how they have and indeed would interact with Tandberg technical support departments � Excellent documentation skills as there is a requirement to complete technical designs and system reviews � Working with project managers to ensure projects complete on time and to required specifications, experience of running an off-site engineering/support team. � Liaising with Tandberg and other internal departments to gather additional information when required. � Attend meetings to discuss strategies and long term plans for development of the video conferencing system globally. � The ability to think beyond just the job-in-hand and be able to offer pro-active suggestions and recommendations based on the technology used now and in the future by the client end-user and again examples of what has been done previously will be important. � Documenting and presenting recommended system changes � Creating end user documentation to assist users in maximizing their video conference experience Qualifications\Skills � Tandberg TCAP, TCEP, TCSA, TCPE, TCTS qualified � Excellent ISDN, H.323, SIP knowledge � Ideally CCENT or CCNA Certified � Any multicast experience would be beneficial � Digital signage experience � IPTV or video streaming experience � SQL\MySQL Experience � Microsoft Desktop/Server Support Salary / Benefits � 3% pension Contribution (subject to 6 months probationary period) � 23 days holiday � Death in service (3 x annual salary) � Private medical insurance ( subject to 6 months probationary period) � £45,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
