Job Description: One of Matchtechs clients are looking for a Chemical Engineer with laboratory experience to join their expanding team.
Working in conjunction with the Laboratory Supervisor to control and perform all laboratory testing and projects undertaken in the Aberdeen laboratory and where appropriate laboratories in the Netherlands and US.
This position will work closely with the Laboratory Supervisor on all elastomer related projects. This includes the development of new swellable elastomer compounds.
To provide support for all technical input required for quotes for swellable elastomer based products and will be the main point of contact regarding technical and elastomer related questions within the Company
•Control of client related testing including setting up, organising, planning, performing and reporting of the tests.
•Control and reporting of R&D related testing.
•Control of fluids, chemicals, consumables in the lab and ensure paperwork (MSDS, COSHH) are in order.
•Support of the quotation and regional sales teams regarding technical and elastomer issues.
•Support of Laboratory Supervisor and engineering team regarding new compound and product development.
•Support of the Laboratory Supervisor with respect to setting up and ongoing Quality Control of new compounders and manufacturers for our global supply chain. testing and manufacture of new compounds.
