Job Description: 16000-18000 GBP Per Year Buyer Designate / Purchasing / ProcurementBirmingham, West Midlands£16,000 - £18,000 plus Healthcare, Bonus, Life Assurance and Company Pension Our client consists of 350 employees working across 5 divisions and locations in the UK. They have an extensive product range including: steels, fine steels, tubular products, non-ferrous metals and plastics coupled with extensive processing and fabrication facilities to provide a one-stop shop solution. Our client is currently seeking an ambitious enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join their busy Central Purchasing department based in Birmingham, West Midlands. The suitable candidate would be expected to work at a variety of levels within the department with a view to ultimately gaining the experience to work as a Buyer responsible for a range of products. Initially you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing functions by performing Administrative tasks while undergoing training, you will be expected to quickly improve your understanding of the function and take on more advanced roles. You will have a calm disposition with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy under deadline pressure. An excellent communicator both written and verbally, you will be confident when dealing with people at all levels. Our client is seeking an ambitious and dedicated individual who is looking to kick start their career within purchasing.
