Job Description: 25000-30000 GBP Per Year Job Details: Buyer/Senior BuyerJob Location: South ManchesterSalary: £25,000 to £30,000Our client is one of the UK’s leading online suppliers of Sports Nutrition. In the last few years they have been awarded the National Young Company of the Year at the prestigious Growing Business Awards, and in November 2009, were included in the prestigious TIMES Fast-Track 100 list of fastest growing companies in the UK at number 21. Also in the same year they won the Regional Award for the Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year for the northwest of England at the National Business Awards.Our client are now looking to recruit a dynamic, driven, ambitious and experienced Buyer/Senior buyer to be part of our success story.Key duties include: Negotiating with a range of suppliers to ensure our pricing structure is appropriate. Work with New Product Development group to deliver all new product lines to market swiftly and efficiently.Responsible for the long term forecasting and day to day ordering of a range of products / suppliers.Negotiate and implement contracts where necessary and appropriate to gain the maximum return.To work with a range of suppliers to shorten lead-times, increase stock availability and reduce costs.Assist the Purchasing Manager to work within agreed overall cost budgets. Ensure company compliance to regulatory requirements and guidelines for food safety, food hygiene.Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice and quality.Updating and maintaining the stock replenishment system.Working closely with the operations teams to ensure there are no stock-outsAssisting with quality control checks within the warehouse/ISO compliance The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:Degree or Masters Degree (or equivalent)CIPS (or equivalent)Strong negotiation skills Strategic thinking, strong commercial awarenessGood communication skills and personal presenceSuperb influencing and persuasion skillsIf you think you have something to offer a growing, successful and profitable company and would like to work in a productive, challenging and fun environment, please send your CV to Emily.
