Job Description: - Per Year Electrical and Electronics Supplier Quality Engineer - electronics, suppliers, Quality Bristol Full time position Electrical and Electronics Supplier Quality Engineer : The role of Supplier Quality Engineer is a pivotal role within this leading global manufacturer and producer of Subsea equipment to the oil and gas industry. A great opportunity for a motivated Engineer in a pursuit of career progression. Electrical and Electronics Supplier Quality Engineer responsibilities : - Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between Oil & Gas and the supplier base. - Be the technical focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control and quality assurance of electrical systems and electronics components - Work closely with various functions inside Oil & Gas to conduct First Piece Qualification (FPQ), Quality Surveillance, and Capacity audits. Also, assist with new supplier and product development. - Aid in supplier approval process – manufacturing, technology, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) risk analysis. - Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance Electrical and Electronics Supplier Quality Engineer qualifications and previous experience : - Hands-on experience in supplier development and practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure - Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience. - Demonstrable hands-on experience in electronics or small electrical manufacturing - Familiar with PCB (bare board) and PCBA (including SMT processes) manufacturing and quality control requirements. - Experience and exposure to international standards (i.e. IPC 610) - Small electrical manufacturing experience, including: transformers, wire/cable, and passive components (resistors, capacitors, etc.). - Background in interpretation of blueprints/specifications, and manufacturing process planning and evaluation. - Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment and availble to travel regularly. - Prior experience in interpretation of blueprints / specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning / evaluation would be preferred This role is an excellent opportunity to work with a world leader in the Oil and Gas Industry, the role will have a lot of interest.
