Job Description: We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer, with
background of working with the consultants, manufacturers of
electrical equipment or design contractors specialized in the areas of
HV & EHV Substations.
Detailed knowledge and experience in one or more of the following
areas is essential:-
- Preparation of technical specifications and design verifications
for electrical equipment such as:-
- Protective Relays
- Substation Control and Monitoring System
- Protection Relay Panels
- Control panels
- Protection Signalling Equipment
- Automatic Voltage Regulator Equipment
- Transformer Tap Changing Equipment
- Battery & Battery Chargers
- LVAC & LVDC panels
- Preparation of Key Line Diagrams
- Preparation of single line diagrams showing protection and
metering
- Preparation of logic diagrams for closing and tripping of
circuit breakers
- Preparation of protection panel schematics diagrams
- Preparation of control panel schematics diagrams
- Voltage selection diagrams
- Interlocking Diagrams
- Preparation of interface diagrams
- Preparation of cable schedules
- Preparation of termination schedules
- CT/VT Sizing calculations
- Protection relay setting calculations
- Battery Sizing calculations
- Interface and coordination between equipments
- Checking physical interfaces between equipments
- Technical bid evaluations
- Interfacing and co-ordination with other Disciplines
- Familiarisation with International Standards
Short-term travel may be involved in UK and overseas for equipment inspection and
assistance with equipment installation and commissioning.
