Job Description: Warehouse Manager Ferrybridge Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits Our client is a leading Global organisation with over 160 years of experience and innovation in manufacture, construction materials and design within its 3 Divisions; Cement, Aggregates & Concrete and Gypsum. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for the efficient warehouse operations at their Ferrybridge manufacturing facility. Liaising with the Production Manager on a daily basis you will manage the stock control of plasterboard products and systems, have an influence on the production schedules and coordinate the storage and distribution of LPL manufactured products, raw materials and imports/goods received, whilst considering the cost effective solutions for channels of distribution. You will be responsible for your OTIFIC (on time, in full, invoiced correctly) performance and manage a team of operators via a Supervisor and Deputy. You will work in conjunction with the Bristol Warehouse Manager and their distribution partner for shared performance targets. Along with these duties you will also be responsible for the departments Safety culture and performance. You must ensure Safety is treated as the number one priority and that both direct and indirect reports operate in such a way as to minimise environmental impact. You will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally hold a formal logistic / distribution qualification. Demonstrable people management experience within a continuous process manufacturing facility is a must have coupled with previous knowledge within a unionised environment. Excellent communication skills are required for this role as you will be liaising with different areas of the business and at all levels. They are looking for a hardworking conscientious individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to motivate people in order to improve performance.
