Job Description: Materials and Despatch Team Leader - import and export Legislation knowledge - ability to read & interpret engineering drawings - engineering company - based near Evesham, Worcestershire - Salary c£25K We are looking for a Materials and Despatch Team Leader to take responsibility for a small team for an engineering company in Worcestershire All candidates will need the ability to read & interpret engineering drawings & differentiate between product components. It is also essential that you are up to date with import and export Legislation including any updates or recent changes Candidates who have served a modern apprenticeship/structured training programme relative to the job function with ONC/OND/2 A's or equivalent practical experience will be particularly welcome Reporting to the Planning & Scheduling Manager, the role will involve coordinating all material movement on site outside of WIP, ensuring continuous flow, coordinating and developing the inbound, stores, packing & despatch functions and keeping stock levels up to date and accurate. The role will also involve interface with internal customers and suppliers and you should have a good practical approach to problem solving and be able to provide s guidance, direction, motivation & development and be prepared to be accountable for the affect on team objectives of setting short term priorities. Day to day duties will include: Coordinating the supply of material and producing relevant paperwork Rescheduling and prioritising work to balance demand against material availability. Progressing work/materials/parts through stock locations Stock checking activities Coordinating stores activities throughout the company. Managing goods receipt, despatch, packing activity areas and relevant resource Ensuring a visual effective process is implemented through the team. Organising despatch of goods in accordance with the contract instructions and the latest HRMC requirements. Checking goods received and documentation from suppliers Delivering goods to inspection and/or stores Maintaining Import and Export Documentation & certification Maintaining company records relating to the recycling of materials in accordance with ISO EN14001 requirements. Facilitating Customs & Excise officers demands when necessary OTJ specialises in engineering and engineering related positions.
