Job Description: Lead Strategic Planner required to driving business and change strategy forward within a high profile corporate in Hampshire. Paying upto £70k + benefits.
As part of the Strategy and Change ( IT / PMO ) Leadership Team this will be a critical role in driving business strategy, establishing priorities and providing a clear framework for functional unit plans across the multiple geographies of the business.
Responsibilities include -
- Deliver a business strategy and planning framework across multiple geographies.
- Managing key stakeholders across the group to ensure strategic alignment with overall strategic direction.
- Establishing an aligned strategic planning process that links to the business planning process managed and delivered by finance.
- Executive responsibilities in respect of participation and contribution to strategy and change leadership team and support to Head of Strategy and Change.
- As a member of the Strategy and Change leadership team contribute to shaping the future of the function in terms of organisational design and culture.
- Working closely with other relevant functions within the business to form, develop and embed the strategy.
- Proactive management of key stakeholders, dealing with difficult and complex stakeholder environments across the Group.
- Maintaining business perspective – both macro and micro.
- Drive business strategy and objectives, properly assessing strategic market risks across the multiple geographies of the business.
- Work actively with members to enable alignment of their individual strategic plans with the overall strategic plan.
- Enabling culture change by driving consistent policies, systems and processes.
- Acute awareness and management of risk, actively managing or escalating risk as appropriate.
- Ensure business planning and strategy budgets are developed in accordance with finance deadlines and standards.
- Work closely with the Change Agent team ( IT / PMO ) to ensure alignment of change and strategic direction for the business.
- Maintain and develop partnerships, internally with members and their senior teams to establish a consistent approach to strategic planning across the business.
- Maintain and develop partnerships externally with suppliers, trade bodies, press, benchmark companies and relevant specialists and regulators within area of responsibility.
- Develop direct reports through coaching, mentoring and delegation.
- Ensure a climate of continuous improvement is maintained across the business and that best practice is shared across all teams.
- Research industry data, competitor intelligence and ad-hoc market data.
- Gather and analyse data to support key initiatives.
You must be able to escalate communication well at all levels including board level, senior stakeholders & offshore teams for the delivery of IT, Business and Change Strategy with the ability to proactively manage, empathise and influence. Successful candidates will also naturally have a tenacious management style and have extremely good organisation skills to manage multiple teams.
