Job Description: INTRODUCTION: This vacancy is working in one of Londons top Private Hospitals in SE1, London. The team will require you INTRODUCTION: This vacancy is working in one of Londons top Private Hospitals in SE1, London. The team will require you to have experience of cooking to a high standard, such as in a 4* or 5* hotel or in a similar standard restaurant. We serve 100 inpatients per day breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week serving a mixture of English, European and Asian food. Looking for either a CDP or Snr CDP to over see different sections throughout the Kitchen ABOUT THE POST: - Follow food production worksheet and prepare food as requested - To liase with senior chefs on the daily activities - Prepare special diets - Prepare daily jobs lists - Supervise junior staff, ensuring quality standards are maintained - Place invoices for supplies on the profit system - Monitor stock levels weekly - Daily temperature checks on refrigeration units REQUIREMENTS: - To have experience of English, European and Asian food. - City & Guilds 706 (1&2) or equivalant - At least 2 years experience in similar establishment and similar role - Excellent team supervisor / managerial skills - Basic Food Hygiene regulations and practice - Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures - Health and Safety training , such as in a 4* or 5* hotel or in a similar standard restaurant. ABOUT THE POST: - To supervise and participate in the preparation and presentation of food, to the highest possible standards - Manage the Kitchen in the Head Chef's absence - Participate in production of daily worksheets - To supervise kitchen staff , ensuring compliance with legislative and localised policy and practice - Provide staff training - To assist in menu planning - Ordering of supplies, and supervision of stock levels/rotation - Receive and act upon complaints regarding the food services - Deal with discrepancies and quality issues regarding supplies - Participate in the planning and implementation of service development - Maintain accurate records REQUIREMENTS: - To have experience of English, European and Asian food. - City & Guilds 706 (1&2) or equivalant - At least 2 years experience in similar establishment and similar role - Excellent team supervisor / managerial skills - Basic Food Hygiene regulations and practice - Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures - Health and Safety training
