Job Description:  Purchasing Assistant

To assist in all aspects of the departments foreign purchases including:

• Monitoring stock levels
• Raising purchase orders
• Progressing open purchase orders with suppliers
• Arranging letters of credit
• Liaise with the shipping agent on all incoming orders
• System maintenance
• Keeping product files up to date
• Keeping waste packaging information up to date
• Customer Services enquiries.
• Any other duties assigned by the Purchasing Supervisor or Purchasing Manager.


The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as they will be dealing with suppliers in the Far East.
The candidate must have experience working within an administrative role and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Purchasing experience would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
