Job Description: You will use your expertise as a Construction Manager to work as part of a professional project team and apply world class processes and systems to verify compliance of both the Network Rail site managers and that of the Contractor. You will influence others to ensure that they understand the requirements and align their activities to meet the demands of the verification process. About the role The successful candidate will have significant experience in civils, buildings or M & E construction, ideally within the railway environment. The candidate must be confident when dealing with contractors and able to make sound decisions quickly. The role covers all aspects of constructing a new railway station; bridge works, platform construction and complete station fit-out. A positive can-do attitude is essential to work closely with the designers, contractors and colleagues to deliver the works safely and to programme, whilst ensuring that cost efficiencies are driven throughout the process. Do you have..? Outstanding construction experience in the railway industry? A thorough understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental issues relating to construction? CSCS/CITB scheme/NEBOSH certification? HNC or equivalent in construction or relevant engineering discipline? Working Knowledge of CDM Regulations requirements? Effective communication skills and an understanding of customer requirements? Are you..? Able to manage a principal contractor and their subcontractors? Highly dependable in your outlook?
