Job Description: Technical Support Engineer
Overview
An opportunity for an individual to join the Technical Support Team. The team �s role is to support UK sales with technical applications and commercial support on all products to maximise sales and business opportunities.
Responsibilities
· Advising on the selection, sizing and operation of products.
· Advice on applications and industry related issues.
· Preparation and prequalification of proposals and quotations.
· Support internal and external training courses via practical sessions and lecturing.
· Understanding competitors products and the professional promotion of products.
· Provide technical advice in a timely manner.
· Liaise with progress where lead times do not meet customer requirements.
· Input into the core product ranges and develop specialisation awareness.
· Aim to accompany sales engineers and service engineers on customer visits.
Qualifications/Experience
· Minimum of HNC (ideally Degree qualified) in Mechanical or related subject. Although equal consideration will be given to applicants whop have worked in a technical capacity maintaining boilerhouse systems
· Good organisational and communication skills.
· A team player with good interpersonal skills.
· Resourceful, creative and uses initiative well.
· Self motivated with a can do, will do � attitude.
· Confident and enthusiastic.
· The ability to deliver lectures on particular products to customers using dedicated training facilities.
