Job Description: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Claims Administrator to join our client based in Reading. You must have experience in Personal Injury or Liability to be considered for this position.
The Role:
Reporting to the Claims Team Leader, the Claims Administrator is responsible for the day to day management of a claims portfolio. The Claims Administrator settles compensation claims intimated against the company in a professional, methodical, efficient and cost effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
●Review and respond where necessary to all claims correspondence received relating to files to ensure that all post is actioned within specific authority limits.
●Ensure an accurate reserve is held against the entire value of the claim in accordance with the reserving policy.
●Accountable for maintaining own caseload, dealing competently with all non-injury heads of claim as well as low level personal
●To ensure that every telephone conversation pertaining to a claim is noted on the system.
●Produce all cheques in accordance with your cheque authority limit.
●Ensure that all liability decisions are made using all available information and evidence. Obtain any available evidence i.e. witness statements / locus reports / police reports.
Who we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record working in a high volume motor claims handling environment. You will need to demonstrable ability to listen, empathise and engage with internal and external customers and be a strong team player. The ability to problem solve effectively and quickly gather information are essential, along with an excellent telephone manner and IT skills. You must have experience in Personal Injury or Liability to be considered for this position.
