Job Description: Job title: Lead Systems Engineer. Salary/Rate: £45,000-65,000 depending on experience. Area: Cambridgeshire. My client a leading technology consultancy is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to consult with clients and lead the development of new projects from concept generation through to transfer to manufacture. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academics and a high level degree in an electronics engineering or physics discipline with experience of consulting with clients and acting as technical lead on systems development projects for automation or robotic equipment. Key Requirements. *High level degree in an electronics or physics discipline. *Experience of product technology consulting (i.e advising the client of the best technologies or development strategies to employ.) *Experience of full life cycle product development. *Experience of introducing complex electromechanical systems into high volume manufacture. *Experience of working with or for medical device organisations or manufacturers. *Experience of working on the development of safety critical systems. *Experience of working on the development of robotics or automation systems. *Experience of the following electronics disciplines: Analogue, High speed digital, ultra low power. Key Responsibilities. *Leading the development of large automation/robotic systems for use in safety critical environments. *Acting as technical lead for systems projects across multidisciplinary teams of electronics, software, physicists and mechanical engineers. *Liaising with clients and presenting regular development reports to the client. *Following quality procedures and practices in line with ISO13485 and 9001. In summary the successful candidate will possess a degree in an electronics or physics background with extensive electronic engineering experience in a role where they have been having regular contact with clients and acting as a technical lead on systems development projects.
