Job Description: Our client are recognised as one of the world's leading automotive technology organisations and as a result of continued success and an ongoing program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to complement their established and highly successful team. Tasked with a range of activities that will include the design of vehicle electrical systems and harnesses, Interfacing to vehicle networks (e.g. CAN) and the validation of vehicle electrical and diagnostic systems, you will additionally be responsible for the preparation of electrical schematics and for the specification and selection of electrical components including sensors, connectors and actuators. You will undertake both testing and evaluation of electrical components as well as the integration of components and systems onto existing vehicle systems, and will prepare associated BOM's whilst liaising extensively with component and wiring harness suppliers. Additionally you will perform both commissioning and fault finding of vehicle electrical systems and the preparation of FMEAs and design validation documentation as well as associated preparation and monitoring of project plans. In this position you will be required to design and deliver solutions for the electrical and vehicle integration aspects of engineering projects and will need to demonstrate expertise in the areas of vehicle electrical systems and vehicle networking, as well as the ability to keep abreast of future developments in all areas.
