Job Description: BRC are pleased to announce we are currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Manager on a permanent basis for our client based in Plymouth. This full time position will require undertaking the responsibility for the day to day management of the support, health, and welfare services. To provide strategic direction of the homelessness service of the organisation and in the wider community. Key responsibilities will include: -Monitoring developments affecting the homelessness, drug and alcohol and other relevant client group agendas and ensure information is communicated effectively. -Manage allocated budget by ensuring efficient use of resources -To have a key role in all network activities including those connected with national and local strategies including Housing Management, Homelessness and Income Recovery Initiatives. -To monitor partner agency planning and the effectiveness of their staff rotas to ensure appropriate levels of staff cover for the safety and security of the building and residents. -To be jointly responsible with the Housing Manager for appropriate access, referral and selection of clients in accordance with BCHA's policies and procedures. -Applicants must have extensive experience working with homelessness. -Have previous managerial experience within a supported environment. -Able to communicate well, manage and motivate those around you including staff from other organisations and prioritise tasks effectively under pressure. -Have experience of contract performance and tendering and development of social enterprise.
