Job Description:  Help Desk, Electronic Trading FX – Investment Bank, London The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide process, administration and basic technical support to our E-Exchange application support team. The team is responsible for the global support of our client base that subscribe to the GlobalLink application product suite. The products include a multi-bank foreign exchange trading platform that provides secure, real-time trade execution with multiple counterparties 24 hours a day and a real-time and a back office multi-counterparty foreign exchange trade matching and confirmation system. A keen eye for attention to detail is critical, especially when following and documenting procedures and communicating with our clients via e-mail and telephone. Effective prioritisation and management of daily tasks and projects will be necessary along with a willingness to learn new concepts. Ideal / Background: Knowledge understanding of FX, able to provide past experience examples where they have demonstrated sound judgment while working effectively within a high pressured situation, ensuring that any issues that are identified are clearly communicated to all relevant parties. This position is an interesting opportunity that will be best suited to an enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in finance and in particular the electronic trading sector. There will be a strong emphasis on documentation and administration support tasks initially. Primary Job Responsibilities: • Customer Access Management control, including administration of user accounts, client linking’s and client information records • Support of the application support team by assisting with basic support duties as required. • Client Database maintenance and development • Maintenance of internal GlobalLink product support documentation • Analysis and management of corporate billing processes • Occasional handing of basic general customer enquiries Preferred skillset & previous experience : • Strong organizational skills in conjunction with an eagerness to learn new products and technology • Preferably a university graduate or educated to A-level standard • Excellent verbal, written communication and telephone etiquette • Customer service experience • Natural instinct to think quickly and effectively while troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast paced real-time environment • Excellent verbal, written communication and telephone etiquette • A basic understanding of financial markets and knowledge of FX Trading, and Settlement processes would be advantageous Product and/or Systems Knowledge Basic knowledge of PC desktops , particularly running windows operating systems and understanding of LAN & WAN network infrastructure Department Assistant E-Exchange Application Support Analyst Desirable Product and/or Systems Knowledge Knowledge of finance industry especially etrading preferred.
