Job Description: Supply Chain Specialist / Buyer - Server / Datacente Hardware - Top 5 Global Host / Datacentre Southampton £27,000 - £35,000 covering a shift pattern With 10,000 customers worldwide, backed by a 100% uptime guarantee we are one of the worlds leading IT hosting providers. We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team! GENERAL SUMMARY: The Inventory Specialist manages all inventory counts and fixed asset tracking for the location data centre(s). This person is responsible for ordering hardware, tracking RMAs, interacting with suppliers and internal customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Inventory Specialist: > Analyses inventory records from the individual data centre. > Interprets results of monthly overall inventory. > Collects sales records and trends and evaluates performance measured against inventory budgets. > Conducts statistical and financial analysis and recommends levels of inventory required by production schedules and/or customer orders while minimizing inventory and carrying costs. > May evaluate current economic conditions and prepare forecasts. > Purchases assets from vendors to maintain inventory levels. > Responsible for tracking and forecasting server levels and initiating server builds. > Collects fixed asset tracking reports. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: > Inventory management experience is required. > Negotiation skills to optimise supplier relations and establish partnerships. > Background in server hardware and related technology. > Strong communication skills You may have worked in the following capacities: Inventory Manager, Datacentre Purchaser, Inventory & Stock Manager.
