Job Description: Senior Test Engineer - Leatherhead - £40,000circa + package. My award winning client are experiencing year-on-year growth and as a result require a Senior Test Engineer to join the fun and friendly team in Leatherhead. To be considered for ths opportunity you will be an experienced Test Engineer / Senior Test Engineer familiar with Windows operating systems with knowledge of Oracle. You must also have experience of the Telecommunications industry and programming skills would be advantageous. As the Senior Test Engineer you key responsibility with be to act as a key interface between the testing group and software development in order to improve the way changes to specific products are captured within the testing process. You will also; * Develop detailed test specifications and procedures for forthcoming releases. * Feedback software improvement suggestions to increase the effectiveness of testing. * Generation and implementation of automated testing where possible including: GUI Tests, Functionality Tests and Stress Tests. * Generation and conduct of manual system testing for areas where automated testing is not possible. * Regular reports (weekly) of testing status of new releases. * Liaison with SW to ensure satisfactory production of test specifications and module-level testing * Senior engineer is expected to coordinate the team for certain activities- e.g. test specifications, patches. * Senior engineer may be expected to chair team meetings. You will be a passionate, tester with first class communication skills looking to continue/return to the telecomms industry. A base salary of £40,000 circa will be joined by a fantastic package which includes; healthcare, pension, gym membership, healthcare, childcare vouchers and flex-time.
