Job Description:  Purpose of the Job: - Takes responsibility for or participates in a mix of business, financial, resource, service level relationship, performance, audit, risk, security, procurement and contract management functions in support of various managers within the ICT Contracts & Services section. - Take responsibility for or participates in a mix of legislative, equality, compliance, audit, quality, standards, ICT professional training administration, monitoring and service planning functions in support of those managers. - Supports the overall financial management of the ICT assets and resources used in the provision of ICT services, ensuring that all governance, legal and regulatory requirements are complied with. Maintains contracts register. - Provides support to the ICT Senior Management Team as required. Supports the collection, analysis and reporting of benchmarking information and survey data. - Assists with marketing of ICT to customers and with ICT communications as required. - Maintain Configuration Management Database (CMBD) & Asset Management system to support licensing, audit, charging and management information requirements. - Oversees and co-ordinates the contributions of administrative support staff to the above. Knowledge of: - The analytical comparison of IT products against specified criteria to determine the best solution to meet the business need. - The principles of procurement and contract negotiation. - Complex data analysis using a variety of tools including, but not limited Excel . Advanced Excel user skills (pivot and lookup tables ) , may be tested for as part of assessment - The principles of financial management, monitoring and reporting.o - Training and development methods and options in the context of professional and competency development. Experience of: - Report writing and communications for a variety of audiences, demonstrating numeracy and literacy, and applying expert knowledge of data analysis. Financial procurement administrative support. - Using office software, including spreadsheet and financial software. - Gathering, analysing and presenting information from disparate sources. - Establishing, analysing and interpreting performance management data to aid service planning, performance and target setting. - Creating and publishing regular news letters or similar periodic journals
