Job Description: An Applications Service delivery manager is required by a prominent healthcare insurance provider based in Staines Middlesex. Applications Service delivery manager will have accountability for the support of a number of application services, both commercial off the shelf and proprietary software. Capability of managing more than one team of software engineers, and outsourced service providers. Responsibilities Managing a team of 4 Software Engineers plus 8 onshore 50 offshore resources. Recruitment Performance management and personal development of the team Responsible for support, enhancements and small projects delivery in to a large organisation, including global services. Ownership of an extremely busy environment dealing with over 3000 users and large volume incident fix on fail environment. Management of a broad range of services using ITIL best practice frameworks. Skills required Experience of working within a large and complex environment, managing a team in a pressurised working environment and Management of offshore resources Significant technical and management experience of application support of large multi tier applications. Understanding of a broad range of technology platforms and operating systems more pecifically .Experience of .Net and Oracle Excellent interpersonal, communication skills to interface with multiple stakeholders and partners, both in house and externally. Confidence at senior level and ability to effectively communicate with senior non-IT staff... Problem determination and investigation experience in the following environments: MS windows - Oracle backend , ASP . Net Applications , .NET Applications on Windows XP Oracle ODP .Net applications Experience of the following would be advantageous Biztalk 2006 & 2008 SQL Server 2005 & 200 Automated Document Production tools such as Thunderhead Preferably experience of working within ITIL best practice and guidelines.
