Job Description: Infrastructure Engineer required by growing Bristol based company for an interesting and varied role undertaking support and enhancement in their VMWare, SAN and general network infrastructure. You will have proven VMWare and networks experience, ideally with excellent knowledge of Microsoft servers and exposure to SQL Sever and Exchange. In addition to infrastructure support duties your role will include identifying and investigating opportunities to improve and enhance products to deliver increased efficiency and productivity, plus proposing improvements to current systems and managing their delivery and development. There is an emphasis on virtualisation and a number of projects involving VMware technology. You will also work on resolving system issues and where necessary escalate faults to external suppliers and manage the fault resolution process. My client is seeking someone capable of providing specialist advice on the effective use of systems, with the ability to document your work thoroughly and communicate to non-technical users. You may also become involved with some training for certain projects.
