Job Description: Our client based in Stevenage is the leading provider of sales, service and technical support provider to customers. Due to continued expansion my client is now looking for a Calibration and Repair Engineer to join the existing team in the workshop to calibrate and repair a wide range and electronic measuring equipment. Due to the nature of this role you must be prepared to undergo a high level of security clearance. This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF), REME and have a strong background in Electrical / Electronics Engineering within a similar role. Responsibilities: -Calibration and repair of RF test and measurement equipment to assembly or component level -Fault-finding on RF Circuitry such as PLL, VCO, Filters and Amplifiers -Run automated and manual tests -Completion of necessary paperwork and logging of results on database -Work to be completed within timescales and company quality requirements. Profile: -The successful candidate should be educated to HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering -Have previous experience of working with RF based products in an electronic calibration and repair environment. -Computer literacy is essential along with the ability to produce high quality documentation. -The candidate should have a logical approach to problem solving, -Good communication skills and be able to work well within a team -Have a flexible approach to working hours. Applicant Requirements: - Please note that full product training will be provided. - Strong electronic skills. - Good 'hands on' approach to work. - Firm understanding of engineering discipline. - Able to work to tight deadlines. - Ability to work under pressure. - Excellent communication skills. - Well organised.
