Job Description: Biology Teacher Required!!! Are you able to teach Science and more specifically Biology across the Key Stages and including A-level? ***Biology Teacher (NQTs welcome!!) ***Able to deliver curriculum up to KS5 ***Immediate interview ***MUST have Good & Outstanding referencing!! ***North London location zone 4!! ***Fantastic school site and modern resources ***A good and improving school Ofsted 2008 ***Oversubscribed in both Year 7 and Year 12 ***High & improving Yr9 & 11 results!! ***All boys school with large mixed 6th form!! ***Half term or April start potential permanent post! My client school is located within lovely North London grounds and cater for boys aged between 11-18yrs. The schools sixth form are linked and include girls from a local grammar school. The school is situated in zone 4, North London located less than 5 minutes from the nearest tube station. The school caters for just over 1000 pupils, producing some of the best results in the country across Year 9 and 11. The Head teacher is looking for a motivated and high achieving Science teacher able to lead young youngers up to and including KS5. This all boys school benefits from some fantastic facilities and resources, boasting some of the most impressive school grounds in London. At A level, the pass rate was an impressive 99% with 62% of the grades being in the range A*-B, an increase of 8% on the previous year. 12 students were awarded straight A*/As and 2 won places at Oxbridge. The success of the school and its pupils are evident with the school placed firmly within the top 10% of schools and colleges for value added at post 16 level. This year, over 90% of pupils achieved 5 A*-C, an increase of 9% on 2010. The school is one of the highest achieving schools in London and so are looking to recruit and exceptional Science Teacher to join the department this April, specifically skilled and able to teach Biology up to A level. This will be an agency contract until the end of the year, with genuine potential to become a permanent post. This is a permanent vacancy, with the summer term being used as a trial period.
