Job Description: Trade Compliance Administrator - UK freight forwarders & UK Customs data - experience of a trade compliance environment - UK and US export regulations - UK import and export requirements - basic understanding of US ITAR and EAR regulations - based Fareham, Hampshire - 9 months contract - rate £13 - £15.60 per hour We are looking for a Trade Compliance Administrator with experience of handling UK freight forwarders and UK Customs data to work for an electronics manufacturing company on a 9 month contractor Candidates for the position of Trade Compliance Administrator will need to have had experience of working in a trade compliance environment involving both UK and US export regulations A basic understanding of UK import and export requirements and of US ITAR and EAR regulations is required Candidate for the position of Trade Compliance Administrator (UK freight forwarders) will need to have had experience of using Customs procedures in maintaining Company and freight forwarder export files and Customs entries for imports and exports You will need to be able to enter data accurately and quickly and have experience of Excel applications and liaising with HMRC Reporting to the Trade Compliance Manager, the overall purpose of the role is to maintain the company's import/export documentation records in accordance with Regulatory and Best Practice Requirements and to support the Trade Compliance Manager in compliance activities. Day to day duties will include: 1. Reconciling and actioning HMRC MSS reports with the import and export log transactions 2. Monitoring import/export shipment transaction logs to ensure compliance 3. Recording export transaction invoice payments 4. Supporting the TCM in coordinating data for reporting requirements 5. Coordinating the scanning and archiving of import/export documentation 6. Assisting the TCM with product classification activities 7. Carrying out regular visual compliance screening on couriers and end users 8. Maintaining the licensing databases on MAX and Excel 9. Processing Letters of Credit documentation 10. Assisting the Commercial department with L/C negotiations 11. Preparing UK Export Licence applications using web based tool SPIRE 12. Assisting the import export administrators with trade compliance To undertake these duties, you must be able to work with multiple sets of data at the same time, have experience of working with external suppliers and of working in small teams All candidates should have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK This vacancy is advertised by Otj Recruitment Ltd.
