Job Description: SAP Supply Chain Planning Functional Lead needed for a high profile project with a Global household name. This is a fantastic career opportunity for an experienced SAP consultant to join a true leader in the field. MY CLIENT: My client is a global corporation with an excellent reputation for quality and employee satisfaction. They are a major SAP user and are in the process of undertaking some major investment programs to consolidate and streamline their processes. THE ROLE: SAP Functional Lead The functional lead is the owner of the single SAP template using ECC 6.0 on behalf of the organisation to enable standardisation of commercial business processes. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Architecture, you will provide consultancy on the definition of the to-be process, along with design expertise on the shaping of the global template. This is part of a significant global programme. Key responsibilities include * Ensure the commercial SAP landscape is managed on an ongoing basis to ensure business benefit is achieved from investment * Ensure all design is in line with SAP standards and controlled to maintain template integrity * Ensure business objectives achieved with minimum of custom system developments * Be design authority for SAP Supply Chain * Gather information from design team, subcontractors, client for progress reporting purposes * Recognise, analyse, and solve problems and resolve project plan deviations as they are encountered * Provide knowledge transfer to Operations and other departments as required * Work with other functions within commercial and enterprise systems to identify process improvement opportunities and implement if agreed * Assist in progress reporting against the programme * Manage relationships with systems integrators and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity of design purpose KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED * Significant experience of SAP MM/IM/PP from a functional perspective * Preferably degree qualified in technical/engineering or project management discipline though not essential * Experience as a functional lead (not just project management) role across SAP full lifecycle implementation * Strong knowledge of APO and Demand Planning Process * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal to board level. * Regulated industry experience * Experience of a formal Quality Management process and associated documentation * Experience of formal testing processes and procedures. * Awareness of a range of Business Analysis tools and techniques IT Quality Management Systems (e.g. IQMS), Six Sigma etc
