Job Description: An exciting opportunity for a Lead Technical Trainer has arisen for a large software company based in Cambridge. Position: * Technical Trainer - Software Company Location: * Choice of location - either London or Cambridge Salary: * £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + benefits Key Responsibilities for Technical Trainer - Software Company: * Conduct regular training courses at the client's Classrooms in the UK & Europe. * Deliver occasional training courses at client and off-site. * Designing and developing course documentation. * Maintaining and developing IT training manuals. * Pre-course preparation including the training room set up, software installation and configuration of equipment. * Preparation of course data and accompanying course documentation. Professional and Educational Requirements for Technical Trainer - Software Company: * This company only takes on the brightest people so it is vital as a trainer you have a background of academic excellence - will need a 2.1 or 1st class honours degree from a leading International University. * Qualifications in teaching desirable. * Second language desirable (German, French or Italian) and ability to teach in a second language would be an advantage. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience for Technical Trainer - Software Company: * A minimum of 2 years of software training experience * Have good knowledge and experience with the majority of the following: Windows 2000/XP (Microsoft certified preferable), Linux/Unix (preferable),Web server/ Application Server experience with IIS, Resin, Tomcat Apache, HTML, XML, XSLT, JSP, JavaScript knowledge * Have a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Programming experience * Experience with Enterprise Systems * Experience in configuring training environments, both classroom and onsite * Ability to write training material and/or technical documentation Applications for Technical Trainer - Software Company: If you meet the above requirements and would be interested in finding out more please apply attaching an updated CV.
