The Role:
National Account Manager / Trader required for rapidly expanding meats specialist. This role will involve strategically developing new business with national grocery accounts and / or foodservice clients throughout the UK, together with account managing and building up a portfolio of national accounts. Products include: cooked and raw meats: poultry and fish. The company are experiencing tremendous growth and now looking to expand the National Accounts / Trading team and increase the supermarket and foodservice market client base.
You will typically be working with and developing relationships with national clients across grocery And / Or foodservice / End User market.
Reporting to the Sales Director you will have total autonomy in the role, with responsibility for designated sales targets and portfolio growth, enabling you to run your business unit cost effectively ensuring development of your customer base and an increase in growth and distribution.
You will be required to take a strategic approach to the role, developing strong long term relationships and partnerships purely at a head office level. You will be involved in total process from buying / importing, trading and selling. You will be a very confident and skilled presenter and negotiator. An excellent networker you will have an excellent eye for identifying and creating opportunities in existing clients.
You will have the support and backup of a highly dedicated, effective and company-focused team who will support you in all areas to ensure that you have all the support and tools necessary to succeed. This is a superb opportunity for the successful candidate.

Requirements:
- Proven experience of working as a Business Development Manager / National Account Manager / Trader in the FMCG industry.
- Food industry experience essential. Ideally meats / poultry / fish.
- Strong experience of dealing with top grocery multiples Or Foodservice channel
- Strong account management and relationship building skills.
- Excellent new business winner.
- Ambitious self-starter.
- Driven.
- First class negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
- Highly resilient, charismatic and outgoing.
- Budgeting / forecasting and products planning experience.
- Highly ambitious.
- Location - Based in the South East ideally. Open for the right candidate.
Package:
Basic Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (negotiable)
Commission: Excellent bonus
