Job Description:  Location: Hertfordshire


The Role:

Field Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager required for award winning, expanding foodservice solutions provider. This field based sales role will involve focusing on generating new business, together with account management of an existing client base. Selling to pubs, restaurants, universities, colleges, hotels and healthcare sectors throughout a sales territory covering Hertfordshire (Bishop's Stortford, Cheshunt, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Stevenage, Watford), Luton and Welwyn Garden City area.

You will be selling a total foodservice solution incorporating ambient, chilled, frozen, fresh foods and non-food products. The company is constantly introducing new product listings and have very ambitious growth plans.

Based in the Hertfordshire or surrounding region and reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, you will have total autonomy in the role, with responsibility for designated sales targets and portfolio growth, enabling you to run your business unit cost effectively ensuring development of your customer base and an increase in growth and distribution. Your role will focus on forging new relationships, winning new business and then in turn building up and account managing the clients you bring on board.

You will typically deal with chefs, catering managers, business owners, commercial managers and directors. Consultative based sales process. You will have great networking skills, focusing on developing strong long term relationships and partnerships with all clients.

You will have an excellent support and backup structure, together with a strong training and development program to ensure you are as successful as possible. Excellent time to join the organisation.

Requirements:

- A strong account manager, with excellent account management skills.
- Proven track record of generating new business. B2B or FMCG.
- Proven experience of working in the foodservice industry (either within foodservice wholesaler or foodservice manufacturer) desired.
- Experience in the catering sector desired, but not essential.
- Strong relationship builder.
- Consultative sales ability.
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy.
- Highly tenacious and proactive.
- Work well under pressure.
- Target driven.
- Strong territory management and time management skills.
- Based on patch.


Package:

Basic Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
Commission: £40,000+ OTE
Benefits: Car + Expenses + Benefits
