Job Description: Job Title: Principal Quality Engineer - Aerospace Projects Location: Gloucestershire Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits Are you a Quality Engineer looking for your next step or a Quality Manager looking for a fresh challenge? An opportunity has arisen within a leading Aerospace & Defence Engineering company based in Gloucestershire for a Principal Quality Engineer. The responsibilities of the Principal Quality Engineer are as follows: *Work on a project basis drawing on resource from the Quality team to focus on prioritising and driving key improvement projects *Responsible for route cause analysis and implementing corrective actions *Work closely with customers to ensure that any concerns are resolved *Drive continuous improvement across the site *Participate in internal auditing *Ensure all on site activities are carried out in compliance with AS9100 To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills / experience: *Strong quality background within aerospace, defence, automotive or electronics industry *Fully conversant with ISO9001 / AS9100 *Internal auditing experience *Experience of working on a project basis *Auditor training is considered an advantage *Strong problem solving skills - 8D, 5Y, Route Cause Analysis, CAPA, etc. *Continuous Improvement experience - Lean / Six Sigma training is an advantage though not essential The successful Principal Quality Engineer will be offered an excellent package and gain the opportunity to work for a leading, growing business.
