Job Description: Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Wiltshire Salary: Up to £35,000 (plus relocation and benefits) Are you looking for a supplier-focused position within a stable organisation? The responsibilities of the role are as follows: * Responsible in following the Supplier Quality management process * Ensure that all supplier non-compliances are effectively managed and closed in a timely manner utilizing 8D methodology and zero defect culture * Provide reports of the supplier quality processes in the commodities covered * Supplier approval and supplied part approval - FAI, PPAP, etc * Audits of suppliers against the schedule with effective and timely closure of all audit findings * Liaison with associated departments - Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Projects to ensure that supply chain quality risks are mitigated and do not impact company sales * Supplier ppm quality performance * Implement product quality control plans for all CTQ's identified * Investigate all FTF's associated with non-compliant supplied product * Support supplier compliance to QMDP To fulfill these requirements you must have the following skills / experience: * Strong background in the manufacture of electronic components * Interpretation of electronic / electrical drawings * Good understanding of IPC standards (Highly Desirable) * Six sigma experience preferred * APQP knowledge * FMEA practitioner * 8D Root cause investigation * Technical / quality experience preferably at management level * Excellent communication / presentation skills (written and verbal) The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to join an organisation that is a beacon of hope within the manufacturing industry.
