Job Description: Our Clients electronics division develops data acquisition and control systems for leading manufacturers and customer teams in world motorsport. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager. Reporting to the Sports Business Unit Leader you will be responsible for the general management of the programme including ensuring the programme meets agreed financial targets. You will be joining the programme at an exciting time with the launch of their Digital Input controllers and they are looking for someone to deliver on the significant growth potential this programme offers. Specific Responsibilities General management of the programme including ownership of the P&L accounts and ensuring the programme meets revenue and profit targets. Lead of the short to medium term commercial plan for the programme and ensuring this is communicated to the team. Lead of the long-term strategic plan for the programme including ownership of the product roadmap. Lead of the commercial team and the ability to generate, develop and convert new commercial opportunities. Work with a cross-functional team within the company to compile technically and financially sound proposals for presentation to the customer. Liaise and negotiate with potential customers to secure new business that meets the needs of both company and the customer. Conduct research to identify potential customers for partnership, joint venture opportunities, understand the competition and how the company should be positioned to win new business. Develop sound, new business plans for approval. Lead of the technical support team to maintain customer relationships by continuing to identify their needs and requirements, identifying and delivering opportunities to secure new business and improve service. Supported by others operational management of the programme including stock control, on-time deliveries, quality control, credit control and day-to-day management of engineers. Skills and Attributes: Excellent management, organisational and commercial skills are essential but these must be matched by your superior technical knowledge and ability. Their customers are industry leaders and you will be working with some of the best power-train engineers in the world. A proven ability to lead commercial and technical teams with the ability to develop and fully exploit new commercial opportunities. The ability and motivation to win new business through personal follow-through and orchestrating a team approach. A strong understanding of combustion engine technology in motorsport, including Digital Input. Experience in the control of electric and hybrid vehicle technology would be beneficial, as would experience in the motorsport industry. Experience in developing and implementing market strategies. The ability to define problems, collate data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate decisions. The ability to interpret, use and draw valid conclusions from business statistics, management reports and financial information. Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written that can present information effectively and professionally to potential customers and the companys senior management. A willingness to travel globally, European or Asian language skills would be beneficial. A systematic and detailed approach to problem solving. An Engineering degree or equivalent experience in related discipline
