CLRN Generic Research Nurse - fixed term until 2013 The post holder will be an active member of the NEYNL CLRN Research Recruitment Team and will be required to professionally support trained staff in the delivery of NIHR CRN portfolio study management and care for patients involved in research studies. The post holder will work with the senior nurse to deliver high quality NIHR portfolio studies, engaging research naive clinicians to increase their research portfolio. Ensuring high quality delivery of clinical research, ensuring quality data capture and timely response to data queries. Providing a safe environment for the participants in clinical research. The post holder will take responsibility for the set-up, management, co-ordination and facilitation of a caseload of concurrent NIHR CRN portfolio research studies. In addition to clinical and patient related, this role includes document generation and control, project tracking and logistics, data collection, patient recruitment accrual reporting. The post holder will have continuing responsibility for assessment of patient care needs of research and trial participants and for providing them with high quality care that is timely and protocol-driven. The post holder will provide specialist nursing care and advice to participants on all aspects of their involvement in trials, including identification, advising and proper reporting of any adverse events. The post holder will contribute to development of the speciality service to trial participants and ensure cost effective use of resources.
