Job Description:  CONFIDENTIAL Job Specification UK Release Liner Sales Manager Job ref: CST/18314 Salary: - Negotiable Location: Home Based Part of a privately owned group, our client is a leading manufacturer of paper and film based packaging materials utilizing printing, coating and converting equipment. Main Purpose of the Role: Deliver the agreed Sales volume, revenue & profitability budget. Nurture & grow existing business accounts, utilising as far as possible, current assets. Identify opportunities and potential customers and liaise with Head of Sales to create & implement plans for business growth. Identify & confirm any new business opportunities which arise through existing customer base. Focus: Deliver the budgeted sales and profitability. From market analysis, product knowledge and market contacts, develop and implement plans which will result in profitable sales growth. Exceed customers expectations for commercial & customer service by being mobile & arranging regular visits to all accounts. Key Tasks: Development - Develop existing business growth strategies and plans to maximise profit and cash generation in the company over the long term. - Develop internal (operations, purchasing, Business Units and finance) and external (customers, competitors, agents, distributors etc) networks required to rapidly bring new business opportunities to profit/cash generation streams for the business. - Pass on any identification of acquisition/joint ventures/investments internally. Sales - Defend and grow sales in the Industrial Release Liner markets within the agreed territory. - Ensure that the assets of the Company are effectively and efficiently used. - Liase with all other departments to ensure quality product can be produced and shipped on time to meet customer expectations. - Make regular visits to all customers and produce timely visit reports along with actions. - Report monthly on sales performance focusing on key issues and future opportunities. - Respond to enquiries and produce costings and quotations promptly and in a professional manner. - Continually support the introduction of cost effective solutions into the Business. - Instil a culture of continuous Improvement in all aspects of the Business. Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Strong leadership and influencing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable decision making when faced with competing priorities and ambiguous situations. Commercially and financially aware. Technically proficient, aware of manufacturing capability and competent in IT skills. Negotiating skills when face to face with customers.
