Job Description: Job Title: Quality Engineer - Tick IT Located in Fleet in Hampshire Salary £30-40K This position is responsible for providing support to the Quality Manager in maintaining the company business processes in-line with ISO 9000:2008 and TickIT and support to projects and their customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Quality Management System Liaise with staff at all levels to ensure that changing business needs are identified and to recommend amendments to the business processes. Assist the Quality Manager in investigating the project implications of introducing new quality management system methodologies, e.g. CMMI, TickITplus. Proactively identify process improvement areas. Project Quality Provide support and direction to projects throughout the whole development lifecycle. Produce, maintain, and assist in implementing project quality plans Provide advice and guidance to Project Managers and project teams. Interface with customers. Ensure appropriate quality records are identified and retained in accordance with company, project and customer requirements. Internal Auditing Perform audits of the company business processes. Other duties that may be required from time to time. Qualifications and Experience: "Qualified to Degree Level (preferably Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or Physics) or an acceptable equivalent and a minimum of 5 year's practical experience in software quality assurance, preferably in ISO9001 based quality management systems. Appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a higher qualification. An internal auditor qualification would be desirable. Membership of the CQI or similar professional body is desirable. Other Requirements: Proficiency with the MS Windows operating system and MS Office tools required. Some experience of UNIX based environments may be an advantage. Good interpersonal skills. Enthusiasm and an attitude to succeed are required, together with a flexible approach to work. The duties are to be performed at the company's offices in Fleet, or at a client's or supplier's site as may be required. It is necessary to be eligible for appropriate government security clearance
