Job Description: An exceptional 6-12 month fixed term contract opportunity for a Project Engineer within a global manufacturing organisation in the area. Applications are urgently invited from individuals with an Engineering degree, good knowledge and experience of lean techniques essential together with any experience gained within an FMCG environment (fast moving consumer goods) useful, although not essential. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be required to work as part of a team, whilst at the same time, co-ordinate small project teams (ie. 10 people). The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to deliver state of the art technology in order to meet the requirements of the business and to lead capital investment projects utilising both in house and external contractors, ensuring the delivery of projects on time and to budget. We are also looking for experience with handling project management, initiating and maintaining systems with a minimum of one year time service as an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer combined with the ability to manage time, contractors and resources. Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must together with good IT skills including AutoCAD, 2D, Excel and PowerPoint. Drivers licence essential.
