Job Description: Our client, based in Cambridgeshire is looking to recruit a Test Technician with experience in device or board testing. Responsibilities The Test Technician will be responsible for the following: * Operating Automated Test Equipment to characterise custom IC devices * Archiving and indexing all test results * Compiling results and generating summary reports * Assist the engineering team in the Lab as required during board bring-up * Commissioning and debugging new test boards * Maintaining test benches and associated hardware and equipment * Hand modification and re-work of PCBs using SM components down to 0402 * Fault finding and repairing faulty boards * Organisation of the Lab including maintaining minimum stock levels of critical components Qualifications and experience * Electronics qualifications to at least ONC/HNC level * Experience in either board or device testing * Good written and verbal communication skills * Experience using MS Word and Excel * Use of electronic test equipment e.g. Scopes, DMM, Signal Generators
