Job Description: Senior Estimator (manufacturing / machining) Project Manager / Applications / Estimating Manager / machining / Aerospace / Automotive £40,000 - £44,000 (depending on experience) + Contributory Pension + Life Assurance + 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays + Bonus Bournemouth / Poole Senior Estimator position available in Global Manufacturing Company. The role will suit candidates looking to have an important and influential role in a forward thinking business. As the Estimating Manager will be principally involved in the preparation of proposals, detailed estimates and project plans liaising with the customer and assisting in new product capture programmes. You will also be heavily involved in researching new methods and technologies in the manufacture of machined components. The company are continually investing in technology. The successful applicant will need to have a strong machining background can demonstrate estimating experience. You need to fully understand the process of machining components to successfully prepare bids and proposals. Part of a global group with substantial new investment, the company are continuing to increase their portfolio with a range of commercially successful products for a variety of markets both in the UK and abroad. This is the largest manufacturing site in the UK and the position is set to grow. Additional investment is planned along with added headcount. This role will suit candidates who are driven with a determined attitude to see things through. You need to be confident in your ability, able to make decisions and influence others. The role: Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be involved in the preparation of bid submissions, detailed estimates and project plans liaising with the customer and assisting in new product capture programmes. Research into new methods and technologies in the manufacture of aerospace components. Liaison with customer; building new customer relationships and maintenance of existing customer relationships Compiling technical reports and presentations 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday with 12pm finish on Fridays. The person required:] 5-10 years machining engineering background. Worked in an aerospace/automotive/precision engineering company. Estimating experience. Negotiation experience
