The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are a Land Rover employee you will continue to be administered on the Land Rover grading structure with the associated terms and conditions Department The STA function is responsible for the capacity and quality performance of all new product and current vehicle suppliers and performs an important role within the Purchasing Department. The STA function is responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling supplier manufacturing processes and activities to enable high quality and on time execution of product programmes effectively and efficiently whilst maintaining and improving current car performance. Key Responsibilities • Site development/JLRQ Manufacturing site assessment • JLRQ/Supplier site improvement • Improve quality systems and drive continuous improvement • Sourcing support • Support review of DFMEA and lead review of PFMEA and control plans. • Advanced Product Quality planning • Phased production part approval process • Launch support (high impact suppliers) • 8-D concern resolution • Warranty reduction • Schedule and conduct field action/stop shipment reviews in cases of supplier responsible concerns There are two positions available which would suit candidates with an Electrical background. Skills, experience and qualifications required: • Qualified to degree level within an engineering or business discipline • Experienced within a Vehicle Engineering/Quality function and familiar with the Global Product Development System • Knowledge and experience of APQP/PPAP/8D • Able to facilitate resolution of complex cross-functional issues • Good leadership/negotiation/communication & interpersonal skills • Able to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation • Self-motivated & able to work on their own initiative • Computer literate To apply please send Cv’s to Allan Wheeler or call (Apply online only) / (Apply online only)
