Job Description: IT Systems Engineer / IT Network Engineer - Active Directory, Support £28,000 - £32,000 Enfield, Middlesex + Frequent UK travel We are an award winning foodservice provider which has shown immense growth since it was established in 1989, with 700 employees and revenue of £135 million. We currently seek a full time Systems Engineer to join our award winning Information Technology Group as the company transitions into new markets and its next phase of growth online via our website and apps on mobile platforms. Assuming this position within the IT Group you will be working on network infrastructure, Operating System, Virtual and SAN infrastructure. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a very practical and hands on mentality. A very good understanding of the fundamentals of network infrastructure and network sniffing is necessary for this job. IT Systems Engineer / IT Network Engineer - Key Responsibilities: Networking: *Working on improving and growing company network infrastructure and debugging/troubleshooting the network *Sniffing and tracing WAN/LAN/Wireless problems *Installing and configuring new networking systems and hardware Virtual infrastructure and SAN: *Work with development team and others within IT Group to build new virtual systems and storage. Windows/Active Directory: *Manage and administer Windows systems, Active Directory (AD) domain and AD Group Policy *Deploy desktop and laptop clients using imaging technologies Level 2 and 3 Support: *Support the IT Help Desk for complex issues and provide with training accordingly. Education and Certification: *CCNA *MCSE or MCITP Windows Server *Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information and Communication Technology IT Systems Engineer /IT Network Engineer Required Skills: *A proven track record in networking and/or Windows AD environment with very good understanding of AD and AD Group Policy *Deep understanding of troubleshooting networking problems at Layer 1, 2, 3 and 4. Preference will be given to people with knowledge on any the following products/subjects * StoneSoft StoneGate Firewall, VMware, Dell Equallogic, UCCX, Citrix VDI, Lync 2010, 10G Networking and Aruba wireless networks This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to see their skills change a company for the better.
