Job Description: Our client based in Bradford, West Yorkshire are looking for a Project Manager to successfully introduce new customer programs into the business and management of the engineering change process. KEY OBJECTIVES: * To communicate the project requirements in terms of overall timing with Customers, Team Members and Central Services. * To co-ordinate systems and meetings defined in NPI, APQP, PPAP and other company and customer procedures. * To organise APQP activities, minute and follow up all actions. * To prepare all documentation for presentation in customer organised meetings * To ensure all relevant personnel are aware of project scope. * To manage the customer approval of new products introduced to the Business through PPAP or customer equivalent process. * To manage the new programme pricing targets set by the Commercial Team. * To manage the team to achieve profit targets on tooling programs, set by the Commercial Team. * To manage the introduction of new programs into production, staying with the programs 3 months post SOP. * To ensure that the fundamentals of any new processes will meet the Business and customer?s requirements. * To track all project and engineering change activity, communicate and if necessary escalate problems, delays etc. * To support the manufacturing system throughout the life of the product. * To take responsibility for the spares requirements for each of the Business? products in respect of storage, plans to manufacture, shipment and communication of payments to relevant personnel. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: Essential * Business / Engineering related degree or proven track record of carrying out a similar role for a minimum of 3 years in a high volume manufacturing environment. * Experience of customer and industry systems and procedures including QS9000, ISO 14001, TS16949, APQP, PPAP. * Computer literate Desirable * Plastics experience preferred. * Experience of Jaguar Land Rover Online APQP (Covisint) * Experience of Japanese OEM systems & procedures * Microsoft Project Knowledge * IMDS PERSONAL CHARACTERISITICS: Essential * Strong customer focus * Ability to manage customers * Good communicator * Commercially astute * Potential to expand skills and knowledge * Highly organised with an ability to set standards for self and others * Team player * Ability to cope under pressure * Well respected amongst colleagues, suppliers and customers * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Tenacious * Good time management SALARY PACKAGE You will be paid a basic salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits)
