Job Description: Digital Company - Italian Linux/Network Support - £26,000 - London A leading digital company, providing installation and integration of equipment, encoding, encryption and delivery services to distributors is looking for an fluent English and Italian Speaking Technical Support Engineer. Responsibilities include: Provision of high level Technical Support both directly to customers and indirectly through in-country integrators in their local language Pro-active technical support and training to the in-country integrators in the form of knowledge base completion and technical briefing documents (how-to-do documents) Problem Management, Trend Analysis and Change Management as per ITIL Support of satellite content delivery network and liaison with 3rd party provider Reporting of data from systems as per defined customer reporting, key performance indicators and service level agreements General IT support General Project Coordination support General content support enquiries including film content delivery and encryption key management Management of spare parts and returns to manufacturers and/or spares stock Internal system management and maintenance Occasional European site visits This role starts off with a training period of Monday Friday 9-6pm. Once this is over there will be a shift pattern of 5 days a week (Monday- Sunday) from 7am - 4pm & 2pm -11pm. Essential skills: HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent qualified in an IT or IT related technical subject Microsoft and Cisco accreditations would be advantageous At least 2-3 years experience in an IT and/or Telecoms Support environment Must have worked in Level 2 (Fault Diagnosis) functions Excellent IP networking knowledge: - IP Addressing, Routing, Switching, Cisco etc. Excellent IT knowledge: - RAID Servers, Linux Operating Systems, Storage Area Networks, PC, Laptops, General Servers Microsoft XP, Office, Outlook etc. Excellent Telecoms knowledge: - ISP, VPN, SNMP, Broadband, Satellite, Wireless etc. If you think you have the skills for this role, please get in touch with Mary Nguyen 02074695200 - and send me your CV asap.
